Our Red Mask Dogue de Bordeaux / French Mastiffs are great examples of true breed standard Bordeaux. They are dual registered, ACA and APR, each with strong Import Bloodlines and Multi-Champion Pedigrees.
Dogue de Bordeaux, also known as a French Mastiff (due to their x-large size) or Bordeaux Bulldog (with a shorter, muscular build), make exceptional pets and incredibly loyal companions, that are naturally protective of their families.
Getting Started With Our Bordeaux:
From the beginning, there were a range of factors used to determine the most desirable traits we were looking for in of our dogs. Not only was the overall good health a major consideration, but the physical appearance was also very important.
When it came to size, in both our male and female, it was very important that they were in range of the standard of the breed. And we definitely accomplished this with both of them! They not only fall within the perfect written limits of the standards in height, but also within the weight and build-type desired.
Sam, a very impressive example of the breed, weighs right at 125 pounds. With his striking resemblance to the infamous Dogue de Bordeaux ‘Hooch’, from the 1989 Turner & Hooch movie… he is exactly what we were looking for!
We couldn’t ask for anything more with our beautiful female, Athena, who is just as sharp in looks and build!
When it comes to the care our Bordeaux, we do everything possible to keep them as fit, healthy and happy as possible. Not only do they get a large amount of daily activity, they are also fed the best in food, specially formulated for the needs of large, active breeds. This not only keeps them looking as amazing as they do, but also makes them very happy dogs!
