Raising Our Puppies

All Bulldog Pros Puppies Are Raised In Our Home,
From Birth To Adoption

Each and every puppy that we raise (and our adults) live in our home with us full-time. Our puppies start their very first day in an insulated incubator-style bed, located in our great room. This is where they will remain for the first few weeks, while we assist our girls in nursing and caring for their puppies.

From here, usually at about 2-3 weeks of age, they move to a small puppy bed, where they begin to regulate their temperature on their own.

This also allows for the puppies to be lower to the ground (our incubator bed is on a stand), where our moms can spend more time interacting with the babies. At around 4-5 weeks of age, they then advance to the much larger puppy play pen that provides free-roaming access to the great room, and full interaction with their mom, our family, as well as the other dogs of Bulldog Pros.

Being in the middle of things from the start allows our puppies to be brought up as part of a family, as well as providing 24-hour monitoring, and easily begin the weaning process and pre-training needed for their new homes.

Weaning Dogue de Bordeaux French Mastiff Puppies

Although we no longer raise Bordeaux puppies, the two litters from Sam & Athena were a great experience.

In addition to the necessary vaccinations and de-worming treatments, our babies are also used to regular bathing and blow drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, etc., as part of their regular grooming routine. Keeping them clean and well groomed is a big part of raising these babies and a very important process for their health and well-being.
